About the Role
The Department of Strategy and Marketing is seeking to appoint a full-time Assistant Professor (Education & Scholarship pathway) in Strategy and Marketing, with a focus on global strategy and international marketing.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate modules across our portfolio. Indicative modules may include:
Marketing Strategy
International Marketing
Marketing Analytics
Consumer Research and Behaviour
Global Business Environment
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching: Designing and delivering engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops in areas such as business strategy, global markets, and international trade. This includes assessment, curriculum development, and supervision of student research/dissertations.
Administration: Supporting programme and course coordination, contributing to departmental activities, and participating in academic committees.
Student Support: Providing academic guidance, mentoring, and pastoral support to students.
This is a teaching-focused academic position, with a strong emphasis on pedagogical excellence, innovation, and student engagement.
About You
You will hold a PhD in Strategy, Marketing, or a closely related field and have proven experience teaching in higher education.
Essential attributes:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching, including curriculum design and delivery
Ability to engage students through effective teaching methods and inclusive pedagogy
Experience assessing student work and supervising research projects
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Commitment to collaborative, cross-disciplinary working
Alignment with the department’s values of sustainability, ethics, and addressing global business challenges
Experience with both face-to-face and online teaching formats is highly desirable.
