About the Role

Our client, a leading name in automotive engineering, is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Air Intake Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-performance and hybrid vehicle platforms, contributing to the design and development of advanced air intake systems that enhance overall vehicle efficiency and performance.

In this role, you will play a key part in driving innovation, ensuring optimal airflow dynamics, and supporting the delivery of cutting-edge powertrain technologies for next-generation vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and validation of air intake systems for high-performance and hybrid vehicles

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including powertrain, thermal, and vehicle performance groups

  • Use simulation tools and test data to refine system performance and ensure compliance with performance and emissions targets

  • Support prototype development, testing, and release processes from concept through to production

  • Liaise with suppliers, ensuring quality and technical requirements are met

  • Identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background with relevant degree (Mechanical, Automotive, or similar)

  • Proven experience in air intake system development within the automotive sector

  • Familiarity with performance and hybrid vehicle architectures

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and simulation software

  • Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid flow, and emissions control

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Candidates requiring UK visa sponsorship will be considered
