Creating products that address customer and corporate issues. That is one positive thing.

At Capital One, we’re on a mission to improve credit, one good thing at a time. You might consider us a credit card firm. But the truth is that we’re just as much a technology company. And we want to make a difference for our customers, coworkers, and the community.

One of the positive outcomes of making borrowing easier for our customers is that Capital One is a great place to start your career. When you join us, you can expect to be given early responsibility as you work in collaborative teams on significant projects. We have an excellent track record of hiring graduates and helping them attain their full potential. Just look at our CEO, Lucy Hagues. She began as a graduate and now runs the UK business. And this is just one of many success stories.

We are committed to building teams that reflect our clients and the communities we serve. We welcome applications from everyone, but we especially want to hear from women, LGBTQ+ applicants, and ethnic minorities.

Product Managers at Capital One

Our Product Managers are responsible for developing visions and plans to improve our products. They accomplish this by bringing together a variety of solutions and approaches to challenges, welcoming multiple points of view, looking at things from all angles, and making decisions that will help us achieve.

During the two-year Graduate programme, you will cycle and cover products in a variety of areas, including Marketing, Analytics, Technology, and Operations, providing you with a broad understanding of our products as well as a deeper understanding of Product Management. You may anticipate to be involved in technical, business, and design concerns as you lead the cross-functional teams that execute on our products, as well as taking full ownership and seeing initial ideas through to delivery. GAP and trend analysis will be part of your job, and you will collaborate with professionals from many departments, such as Tech and Design, to identify, create, and implement innovative new solutions.

Being a Capital One graduate requires more than just technical skills. Personal growth opportunities are also plentiful. Whether you view yourself as a future leader, a subject matter expert, or somewhere in the between, you’ll have a manager, mentor, and buddy to help you build out the career path that’s right for you.

What You’ll Need

We do not care what degree you have; what matters is that you are an effective communicator and problem solver.

You’ll have strong stakeholder management abilities, as well as a grasp of what it takes to develop and market products. Because you will be working in many business areas, you must be able to grasp new tools and technologies quickly.

You are interested, proactive, and capable of influencing others.

The Recruitment Process

To ensure a flexible and accessible approach, each stage will be handled digitally. You’ll also have a dedicated recruiter who will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

Step 1: If you satisfy the eligibility criteria, you will be provided online testing to complete. This includes situational and strengths assessments, as well as numerical and verbal thinking tests.

Step 2: You will be prompted to complete a one-way video interview.

Step 3: Meet virtually with one of our Product Managers for a Product Interview.

Step 4: Attend the assessment day, which includes group activities, case studies, and individual interviews. If successful, we will offer you a spot on the program!
