We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Department of Digitalisation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship (DME) at Henley Business School. As part of a dynamic and fast-growing department, we are seeking a candidate who is a globally recognised scholar in the field of marketing—someone with an outstanding research profile, a passion for teaching, and a strong commitment to collegiality and innovation.
This role is ideal for those eager to help shape the department’s future and contribute to groundbreaking initiatives within the Henley Centre for Customer Management or the newly established Consumer Futures Lab.
Key Responsibilities
You will contribute across the full academic spectrum, including teaching, research, and administration. Responsibilities will include:
Teaching
- Delivering modules at undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education levels
- Lecturing, facilitating tutorials, and supervising projects/dissertations
- Module convening, student visit support, and personal tutoring
- Assessment, marking, and feedback in line with academic standards
Research
- Producing internationally excellent research, published in leading academic journals (3* and 4* as per the UK REF criteria)
- Leading and contributing to research grant applications and managing awarded projects
- Supervising doctoral researchers and contributing to the research culture of the department
Service
- Participating in department and school-level meetings and events
- Supporting departmental leadership and undertaking relevant administrative duties
About You
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
- A PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) in marketing or a closely related field
- An internationally recognised record of research excellence, with a sustained output of high-quality publications
- Evidence of international research impact and contributions to the field
- Specialist knowledge in marketing theory and practice, supporting advanced curriculum design and delivery
- A proven track record of effective teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
- A proactive, responsible approach to academic leadership and collaboration
