JOB SUMMARY

An amazing opportunity has arisen to join the ambitious and newly formed NHS Group, NHS Humber Health Partnership, the NHS’s 12th largest acute and community provider. With a combined budget of approximately £1.3 billion, Hull University Teaching Hospitals (HUTH) and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLaG) (the Group) are working together to improve care for nearly 1.5 million people.

As part of this transformation, we are looking for a Senior General Manager to oversee the strategic development of imaging services at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

The Senior General Manager is in charge of the Division’s strategic business strategy and performance. The Senior General Manager also advises and supports the Director of Imaging Services and the Care Group Board on pertinent subjects.

Applications from job seekers requiring current Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship to work in the UK are encouraged and will be reviewed alongside all other submissions. Assess your circumstances against the gov.uk website’s standards to determine your chances of receiving a Certificate of Sponsorship for the role.

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community partnerships in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients each year and managing a budget of more than £1.3 billion.

Our Partnership, which consists of two Trusts – Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH), has high objectives and is dedicated to providing world-class hospital and community services to the 1.65 million people we serve.

We collectively employ roughly 20,000 people. For NLAG, our five primary hospital sites include Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital, and Goole and District Hospital, whereas HUTH has Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.

As Teaching Hospitals affiliated with Hull York Medical School, we lead and contribute to research in a variety of fields, including biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery, and oncology.

We believe that by cultivating a diverse, inclusive, inventive, talented, and caring staff, we will be able to provide excellent care to our patients while also ensuring a bright future for our workers, Partnership, and community.

The Senior General Manager will be in charge of developing and implementing the service strategy, operational business plan, and all major performance and activity targets, as well as effective financial planning and management.
Specifically, the Senior General Manager is responsible for the division’s strategic development, assisting the Imaging director in developing group-wide service strategy.
