About the Role
Sussex sport is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Weekend Receptionist to join our busy Sport Centre team. Working on Sundays, you will provide front-line reception services to both University members and the wider community.
Key responsibilities include:
Greeting visitors and handling enquiries in person and by telephone.
Processing bookings and memberships.
Using a computerized till system to handle payments.
Managing cashing-up procedures.
You will play a key role in delivering a professional and welcoming service, supporting the smooth running of our sports facilities.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Friendly, approachable, and confident in dealing with a wide range of people.
Skilled in providing excellent customer service.
Able to work effectively as part of a team.
Organized and reliable, with good communication skills.
Previous experience in reception or customer service roles would be an advantage but is not essential.
About Sussex sport
Sussex sport operates across two sites on campus:
The Sport Centre – home to fitness rooms, sports halls, a dance studio/dojo, squash courts, spin studio, and therapy/sports injury clinic.
Falmer Sports Complex (FSC) – housing outdoor facilities including tennis courts, rugby and football pitches, cricket facilities, floodlit 3G pitches, and a Strength & Conditioning room.
Both facilities are open to students, staff, and the local community, providing a wide range of sports and fitness opportunities.
