Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

About your new role.

This is an entry-level position for innovation in a professional services environment. The role’s purpose is to teach you the fundamentals of innovation while also providing you with experience. You will help the Department in the execution and implementation of product and innovation projects throughout the company and with clients.

How would a week look like?

There is no ‘typical’ week in our world, but the types of things you might be doing in this capacity are:

  • Shadowing Department personnel to see all stages of the product and innovation cycle (scoping, development, launch, and maintenance), which may include:
  • Participating in workshops and innovation sessions to engage stakeholders.
  • Assisting with research ideas, reading about, and discovering new topics.
  • Being a point of contact for innovation and product inquiries.
  • Understanding product and innovation processes through involvement in proof-of-concept and innovation initiatives, including scoping, definition, execution, and reporting.
  • Getting to grips with our technology and completing self-study qualifications.
  • Attending seminars and webinars, and sharing what you have learned
  • studying for a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt qualification.

What does this position lead to?

After successfully completing a Lean Six Sigma Green belt, qualifications in our existing technology, and probation, colleagues in this role are eligible for promotion (subject to business need) to the role of ‘Legal Engineer,’ where they will be able to apply their knowledge with responsibility for discrete tasks.

This list is not intended to be exhaustive, and you will be expected to undertake other duties and obligations that fall within the scope of the function.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a similar job and setting.

As the role is diverse, we are looking for you to have the following:

  • An awareness and grasp of technological changes. You do not need to be able to code, but you must be interested in how technology may help in the delivery of legal services.
  • Effective time management and prioritising skills.
  • There is no time tracking in this function, so you must be comfortable organising your workout.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues in order to prioritise your tasks.
  • Effective communicator – this involves both written and spoken communication. The capacity to listen effectively is also vital.
  • Good IT skills.
  • I’m okay with failure. Some of the things we try will fail. We need to learn why and then move forward.

If you fulfil our requirements and believe this is a position where you can contribute excitement and commitment, we look forward to receiving your application.
