We have an exciting opportunity within the AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm) Screening Programme at Leeds General Infirmary. This role sits within the Adult Critical Care Clinical Support Unit (CSU) and offers you the chance to work closely with a dedicated team providing essential preventative healthcare to the local population.
Based at the Jubilee Wing, this post involves patient-facing community work, including health assessments, patient education, and support in line with national screening protocols. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, adaptable, and committed to improving patient outcomes in a collaborative, professional environment.

What You’ll Bring
As a Community Nurse in the AAA Screening Programme, you will:
- Deliver safe and effective patient care in line with Trust policies and national screening guidelines.
- Conduct patient assessments, provide education, and offer guidance on preventative health measures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines to ensure seamless patient pathways.
- Support service improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical audits.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to confidentiality standards.
- Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and flexibility when working with patients and families.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
