About the Role
Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) is inviting applications from an enthusiastic and experienced General Practitioner to join our academic team. This post is ideal for a practising GP who is passionate about teaching and shaping future doctors, while maintaining clinical involvement.
In this role you will:
- Lead the design, delivery and enhancement of GP‑focused teaching across the undergraduate medical curriculum.
- Teach in areas such as core clinical skills, communication skills, and general practice specialties.
- Play a key role in supporting and coordinating general practice placements, including working with our network of GP educators.
- Help develop innovative educational materials and assessments relevant to integrated clinical care.
- Some travel to GP practices for teaching and quality assurance may be required.

- Has strong communication skills and enjoys teamwork.

Flexible working requests are welcomed and will be considered alongside business needs. Although this role starts at 0.4 FTE with core days preferably Monday and Thursday, there may be flexibility in the future.
