About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the data and analytics function within a growing aerospace manufacturing environment. Based onsite in Gloucester, you’ll play a key role in transforming how data is used across the business—turning complex information into meaningful insights that drive performance and innovation.
You’ll lead a small but capable team, working at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business strategy. Your focus will be on delivering practical, data-driven solutions that improve decision-making across operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and deliver a clear Data & Analytics strategy aligned with business priorities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data professionals
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on data-driven decision making
Identify new opportunities where analytics can create business value
Data & Analytics Delivery
- Design, build, and maintain data models, dashboards, and visualisations
Work with large datasets using SQL and PL/SQL to solve complex problems
Lead the development and deployment of analytics solutions across the organisation
Drive adoption and ensure effective use of analytics tools and outputs
Data Management & Innovation
- Assess and improve data maturity, governance, and ownership across teams
Oversee data discovery, cleansing, and preparation processes
Collaborate with data science teams to embed AI and advanced analytics capabilities
Introduce new tools, methods, and approaches to enhance data capabilities
Programme & Stakeholder Management
- Manage end-to-end analytics projects from concept through to delivery
Work cross-functionally with engineering, IT, product, and operations teams
Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders
Ensure analytics solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with business needs
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience leading data and analytics functions or projects
Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, with experience handling large datasets
Proven ability to design data models and business intelligence dashboards
Experience developing and executing data strategies
Strong leadership and team management capability
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable
- Experience in data warehousing or data maturity frameworks
Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
Familiarity with AI or advanced analytics implementation
