About the Role
As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a vital role within a multi-disciplinary team delivering community-based mental health support. Your work will directly impact young people and their families through:
- Managing your own caseload with autonomy and accountability
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing care plans
Delivering therapeutic interventions in community settings
Working closely with families, carers, and partner agencies
Supporting and contributing to team-based decision-making
This role is ideal for someone ready to strengthen their leadership abilities while continuing to develop advanced clinical skills.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Registration
- Current professional registration in healthcare or social work
Evidence of ongoing professional development
Postgraduate-level study (or willingness to achieve within timeframe)
Minimum 18 months post-qualification experience, including completion of preceptorship or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Familiarity with key legislation such as the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
Experience with clinical risk assessment and care planning
Knowledge of psychological approaches to treatment
Understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement
Experience
- Working with children, young people, and families
Delivering care within a multi-disciplinary team
Providing or contributing to clinical supervision
Engaging in service improvement initiatives
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel independently across the local area
Access to a vehicle for work purposes (reasonable adjustments considered under the Equality Act 2010)
