Role Overview
We are seeking an outstanding Lecturer or Associate Professor in Systems and Networking to contribute to our teaching, research, and departmental leadership. This position includes a market supplement of £20,000 per annum in addition to the standard salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across Computer Systems and Networking courses.
- Conduct innovative research and publish in leading journals and conferences.
- Supervise and mentor students at undergraduate, taught graduate (MSc/MRes), and research graduate (MPhil/PhD/EngD) levels.
- Secure research funding from UK and international funding bodies.
- Engage with the broader scholarly, professional, and industrial communities.
- Contribute to departmental administration and strategic initiatives.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- A PhD in Computer Science or closely related field.
- Strong expertise in Computer Systems and Networking, with the ability to contribute across the broader teaching curriculum.
- Proven research track record, including publications, grants, or impactful projects.
- Engagement with academic and professional communities.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
This role is open to international candidates and meets the eligibility criteria for the Skilled Worker visa

Salary and Benefits
- Salary: £68,284–£76,244 per annum (plus £20,000 market supplement)
