About Us

Vets Now Referrals Manchester runs a top specialist hospital. They focus on great small animal care. This includes emergency and critical care services. We have a 12 month small animal rotating internship. It helps veterinary surgeons build their clinical skills. They get hands on experience. Plus mentorship in a multi disciplinary referral setup.

Programme Overview

This internship suits recent graduates. Or vets with some general practice background. They want a solid base for specialist training. Or just more confidence handling varied cases. Interns rotate through internal medicine and cardiology. Then surgery. Emergency. And critical care. They can pick extra elective rotations too.

Key Responsibilities

Interns join in all clinical rotations. They work under supervision from experienced clinicians and specialists. They do patient exams. Help with diagnoses. And create treatment plans. They support surgical and emergency procedures. They team up in a multi disciplinary group. This means giving high quality compassionate care. They attend seminars. Journal clubs. Workshops. And research sessions. All to boost professional growth.

Requirements

You need a veterinary degree recognized by the RCVS. RCVS registration. Or eligibility for it. Right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is there for eligible international candidates. Strong communication skills. Teamwork. And interpersonal abilities. You have to adapt and work well in a fast paced clinical spot. Enthusiastic and proactive about learning. That is key.

What We Offer

Salary comes to thirty two thousand pounds a year. Professional fees get covered. Like RCVS and VDS registration. Leave is seven weeks annual. Plus your birthday off. Hands on experience means active role in emergency and out of hours cases. You take primary responsibility under supervision.
