About the Role:
Liverpool City Council is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Short Breaks Support Worker to support disabled children in building independence and forming friendships in a safe and inclusive environment.
As part of our Ousted-registered provision, you’ll play a vital role in facilitating enjoyable and enriching experiences for children while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:

Support disabled children to attend friendship groups and community activities

Help promote independence, confidence, and social interaction

Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure a safe environment

Commit to working 1 evening and 1 weekend session per week

Be available for additional hours during school holidays

Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality support
What We’re Looking For:

Some experience supporting disabled children and their families
-
Understanding of child safeguarding and protection protocols
-
Flexible, reliable, and a good team player
-
Commitment to creating a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment
Training Provided:
You will receive fully funded training, including:

First Aid
-
Epilepsy awareness
-
Moving and handling
-
Food hygiene
-
TEAM TEACH (positive behavior management)
Working Hours:

8 hours per week (1 evening + 1 weekend session)

Extra hours may be offered during school holidays
