We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Dietitian to join our specialist diabetes service within the Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service. This position is suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of people living with diabetes.

As part of the Tayside Dietetic Diabetes Team, you will deliver specialist dietetic care within secondary care settings, supporting people across Tayside who have diabetes. You will work closely with diabetes consultants, nurses, educators, and wider healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to antenatal diabetes care, supporting pregnant women with type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes.
  • Take an active role in reviewing clinical pathways, supporting service improvements, and shaping innovative approaches to diabetes care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across a wide range of dietetic and clinical specialties to support joined-up and evidence-based practice.
  • Participate in training and education for dietetic students, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful, you will need:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ideally, some experience supporting patients with type 1 diabetes
  • Please note: This post does not meet UK Home Office sponsorship requirements.
