As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Noodle Specialty Chef to join our team and contribute to our culinary excellence.
Job Description:
As a Noodle Specialty Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of authentic Sichuan-style noodles, including hand-pulled and other specialty noodles, using traditional methods that honor the heritage of Sichuan cuisine. Your expertise in noodle preparation and ability to communicate in both Mandarin and English will be key in ensuring our high culinary standards are met.
Responsibilities:
Noodle Preparation:
- Prepare and craft authentic Sichuan-style noodles, including hand-pulled and specialty noodles, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Master and uphold traditional noodle-making techniques.
- Ensure all noodle ingredients are fresh and flavorful.
Kitchen Operations:
- Work closely with the culinary team to manage noodle production for daily service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in noodle-making areas.
- Assist with stock management, including labeling and rotating noodle-related ingredients.
Quality and Standards:
- Uphold DanDan Noodle Restaurant’s commitment to authenticity and culinary excellence.
- Ensure all noodles meet the restaurant’s presentation and taste standards.
Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively in Mandarin and English with both team members and management.
- Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on noodle-making techniques.
- Support the Head Chef with operational tasks and address issues as needed.
Salary Range:
- Starting at £38,700 annually (aligned with UK work visa requirements).
Working Hours:
- 45 hours per week.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential.

Requirements and Skills:
- Proven Experience: At least 2 years of experience in noodle-making, including hand-pulled noodles or a similar role.
- Culinary Skills: Expertise in traditional noodle-making techniques and knowledge of Sichuan cuisine.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Mandarin and English for effective communication.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, presentation, and flavor.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to restaurant needs and support team operations.
- Work Eligibility: Must meet UK work visa requirements or already have the right to work in the UK.
