Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical guidance and support to staff on all aspects of wound care, under the supervision and direction of the Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). They will also play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Trust-wide pressure ulcer improvement plan.

Initially, the post holder will be based within the Tissue Viability specialty, which is part of the Corporate Care Group.

As a Specialist Practitioner/Nurse, the successful candidate will bring extensive experience and specialist knowledge to ensure the safe and effective delivery of wound and skin care. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams, carers, and patients’ families to deliver high-quality care.

The post holder will provide clinical advice to staff regarding patients with wounds and skin-related conditions, as well as contribute to the implementation of the pressure ulcer prevention action plan. They will also be responsible for delivering education and training to staff on all aspects of Tissue Viability practice, and for supporting the development of Tissue Viability Link Practitioners.
