Our production facility in Chirk, North Wales, has seen a £300m investment over the past three years, with an additional £200m investment planned for the near future.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Kronospan is looking for Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join our rapidly expanding engineering team at our Chirk facility in North Wales. These are full-time, permanent roles offering competitive earnings of up to £52,000+ annually, including shift allowance, overtime, and bonuses.

We also offer relocation assistance (up to £8,000), Home Office Employer Sponsorship, and financial support for VISA applications.

Mechanical Technician Hours:

  • Day Shift: 08:00 – 16:30 (Monday to Friday) or 07:00 – 17:00 (4 days, Monday to Friday)
  • Shift Technician Hours: Full Continental 4 on, 4 off (06:00 – 18:00 & 18:00 – 06:00)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line maintenance support to specific areas of our industry-leading plants
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Bring fresh ideas and question current processes: Can we improve this?
  • Play a key role in planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance

Requirements

  • Experienced in manufacturing maintenance
  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
  • A hands-on approach with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
