Job Description
Help Build the Growth Engine at Magentic
Magentic is looking for its first Growth Marketer to help shape how we take our product to market and establish the foundations of a scalable growth strategy.
This is a genuine zero-to-one opportunity. Working closely with the founders, you’ll help identify our highest-value customers, understand what motivates them, develop compelling positioning, and discover the acquisition channels capable of generating sustainable growth.
You won’t be limited to one area of marketing. From customer discovery and messaging to campaign development, analytics and distribution, you’ll have the freedom to test ideas, learn from results and turn successful experiments into repeatable growth systems.
As Magentic grows, the playbooks and processes you create will form the foundation of a broader marketing function.
About Magentic
We’re building next-generation agentic AI systems designed to manage entire procurement workflows.
Our broader mission is to help make global manufacturing supply chains more resilient and adaptable in a rapidly changing world. We’re addressing a market with an estimated $3 trillion opportunity.
Magentic is backed by leading investors, including Sequoia Capital, and our team brings together experience from organisations such as OpenAI, Meta, Revolut, NASA and McKinsey.
Despite being a small team, we’re tackling a significant challenge — giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.
Your Role
As our first Growth Marketer, you’ll take ownership of developing and validating our early growth strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Partnering directly with the CEO and founders to define our ideal customer profile, buyer personas and priority use cases.
– Developing clear, differentiated messaging that establishes Magentic as a leading AI platform for procurement.
– Researching customers and markets to uncover pain points, buying motivations and new opportunities.
– Creating and testing campaigns across a range of acquisition and distribution channels.
– Running rapid growth experiments, measuring outcomes and using the results to determine where we should invest further.
– Building practical, repeatable growth processes that can eventually be scaled by a larger team.
– Using AI-powered tools and automation to improve research, execution, analytics, reporting and marketing operations.
– Working closely with sales and product teams to turn market feedback into stronger messaging, better customer experiences and product improvements.
– Tracking key performance indicators and translating data into clear recommendations for the wider business.
What We’re Looking For
You could be a strong match for this position if you:
– Have experience delivering measurable growth within an early-stage B2B enterprise startup.
– Enjoy taking ownership and turning ideas into action without needing a detailed playbook.
– Can comfortably work across different parts of marketing, including research, positioning, campaigns, analytics and distribution.
– Combine strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate ideas through compelling stories and messaging.
– Approach marketing experimentally and enjoy testing, learning and refining ideas quickly.
– Are comfortable working in an environment where priorities can evolve as the company learns.
– Want a role where your work can directly influence the direction and growth of the company.
Compensation & Benefits
We want our team to share in the value they help create. The package includes:
– Salary: £90,000–£100,000 per year
– Equity: Meaningful equity participation so you can share in Magentic’s future success
– Visa sponsorship: Available for this position
– 25 days of annual leave, excluding bank holidays
– Additional Christmas shutdown day
– Enhanced parental leave
– Office lunches provided
– Monthly team socials
– Flexible monthly social budget for lunches, coffees, dinners and activities with colleagues
– Salary sacrifice pension and nursery schemes
– Hybrid working from our London headquarters, with work-from-home arrangements on Thursdays and every other Tuesday, plus flexibility where needed for appointments
– Annual team retreat, fully funded by Magentic

2. Skills Interview — 60 Minutes
This stage includes some preparation. We’ll ask you to walk us through examples of your previous work and explore your approach to growth, experimentation and problem-solving.
3. Final In-Person Interview
For the final stage, we’ll invite you to spend time with the team at our office. The day is designed to give you a realistic view of life at Magentic while allowing us to understand how you approach the role.

– A culture-focused conversation
– A role-specific exercise
– Discussion and feedback on your previous work
