As a key member of the emerging Faculty Professional Services team, you will help shape the delivery of education provision, ensuring alignment with university-wide strategy and academic quality standards.

About the Role

This senior-level role will place you at the intersection of faculty operations and centrally delivered services. You’ll play a vital part in:

  • Developing and leading a high-performing, multi-functional professional service team.
  • Delivering strategic education priorities for the Faculty and supporting student success.
  • Overseeing academic administrative services, ensuring compliance with university policies and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Driving continuous improvement and service innovation in support of teaching and learning.
  • Leading cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and aligning faculty practices with university-wide initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a collaborative and confident leader who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in managing and motivating medium-sized teams (20–30 staff), both directly and indirectly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information for a variety of audiences.
  • A track record of successful project management, service development, or operational improvement.
  • A proactive mindset, creativity, and excellent organisational abilities, especially under pressure.
  • Familiarity with student systems and administrative processes within a higher education context.
  • An understanding of academic governance, quality assurance, and the challenges currently facing the UK higher education sector.

Experience working in a university administrative environment and knowledge of project dependencies in academic delivery would be highly advantageous.
