Job Opportunity: Practice Nurse (16–20 hours/week)
Location: Stuart Road Surgery
Salary: Dependent on experience (please include your expectations when applying)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly and close-knit team at Stuart Road Surgery. This is a part-time role offering between 16 to 20 hours per week, ideal for a nurse looking to work in a supportive and community-focused general practice.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality care in a range of treatment room services, including:

  • Chronic disease management
  • Childhood and adult immunisations
  • Cervical screening
  • Contraceptive reviews
  • Wound care, including compression
  • Supervise and support junior clinical staff, including healthcare assistants
  • Lead on infection prevention and control, ensuring compliance with cold chain protocols
  • Work in line with the NMC Code of Conduct and practice protocols

Manage patient recall systems for:

  • Long-term condition reviews
  • Cervical screening
  • Vaccinations and immunisations
  • Implement and support delivery of care aligned with:
  • The Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF)
  • Local and national quality initiatives
  • Encourage evidence-based practice and contribute to the integration of services with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) indicators, including documentation, audit, and quality assurance
