About the Role:

Applications are invited for a full-time, fixed-term (12-month) Lecturer in Law (Teaching Focus) position, providing maternity cover within the Department of Law and Criminology.

This role primarily involves delivering high-quality undergraduate teaching on our LLB course. We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching expertise in:

  • Tort Law
  • Criminal Law
  • English Legal System
  • Family Law

The successful candidate will also be expected to engage actively in scholarship, which at Royal Holloway is defined as “the systematic study of the processes and outcomes of teaching, learning and assessment in such a way that it advances teaching and can be shared with others, as well as applied to teaching and learning contexts. It also includes keeping up with the scholarship of others.”

About the Department:

Part of the School of Law and Social Sciences, the Department of Law and Criminology is a forward-thinking, inter-disciplinary, and research-active department. We offer a comprehensive range of undergraduate programmes (Law, Criminology & Psychology, Criminology & Sociology, Social Science) and Masters programmes (Criminology, Social Work, Forensic Psychology, Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies).
