Are you ready for a new challenge in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK? St Michael’s Hospital in Cornwall is expanding as it progresses towards becoming a stand-alone Centre of Excellence. With four dedicated operating theatres and plans for further growth, we are now looking to recruit passionate and skilled practitioners across all specialities—Scrub, Recovery, and Anaesthetics—to support the delivery of a six-day elective orthopaedic service.

About the Role

We are seeking theatre practitioners to work within our Scrub and Anaesthetic teams. You will be a key part of the peri-operative care pathway, ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care throughout their surgical journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled and knowledgeable support to surgical teams across a range of procedures
  • Deliver high standards of care during procedures involving general, regional, and local anaesthesia
  • Contribute to the training and supervision of other qualified and unqualified staff
  • Take charge of operating lists or theatre shifts in the absence of senior staff, when appropriate
  • Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Continuously develop your specialist skills in line with theatre rotation plans

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience or qualifications in Scrub, Recovery, or Anaesthetic practice
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills
  • A patient-centred approach and commitment to high-quality care
  • Ability to work Saturdays as part of the regular working week
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
