Salary: £32,455 – £45,260 per annum (including London Weighting)

The School of English, ESOL, and Maths at HRUC is looking to recruit passionate and motivated Lecturers in English to teach GCSE and Functional Skills English to vocational learners aged 16–18 across our Harrow campuses. We are hiring for one full-time and two part-time positions.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking team and make a lasting impact on learners’ progress into higher education or employment.
About the Role
As a Lecturer in English, you will:
Deliver engaging lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English
Work primarily with 16–18-year-old vocational students
Teach one evening per week (Thursdays until 9:00pm)
Contribute to learners’ personal development and academic success
What We’re Looking For
A degree or equivalent in English or a related subject
OR
A Level 3 qualification with at least 2 years of proven experience teaching English, Literacy, ESOL, or EFL
Experience teaching GCSE, Functional Skills English, ESOL, or EFL
Strong classroom engagement skills and the ability to motivate diverse learners
A Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (supported by the College)
