Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Finance – Aston Business School
Aston Business School, a prestigious triple-accredited institution located in the heart of Birmingham—England’s second-largest city—is seeking a motivated and ambitious academic to join its newly formed Department of Accounting and Finance. With nearly 50 members, the Department is looking to appoint a team-oriented Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Finance who demonstrates a strong commitment to research excellence, high-quality teaching, and meaningful impact.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong research potential who can work independently and take initiative in securing research funding. The successful applicant will be expected to produce high-quality research suitable for publication in leading Finance journals and/or related fields such as Economics, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning for Finance.
The role also involves delivering outstanding teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Expertise in areas such as Risk Management, Fintech, or Machine Learning in Finance is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to academic leadership, supervise PhD and Master’s students, and support students on industrial placements. Administrative responsibilities and active engagement in departmental service are also expected.
