About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Student Professional Development Consultant – Equality, Diversity & Inclusion to join our Careers, Employability & Opportunity team within Student Services.
This role will focus on empowering students—particularly those from underrepresented and widening participation backgrounds, and students with disabilities—to achieve their career aspirations and transition into graduate-level opportunities.
You’ll lead initiatives that ensure our professional development support is inclusive, accessible, and visible to all students and early-career graduates (UG, PGT, PGR). You’ll also collaborate with colleagues across the University to embed inclusive practices into the student experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead targeted professional development initiatives for underrepresented student groups.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed inclusive employability practices into teaching and student support.
Use data insights to identify barriers to success and develop responsive support strategies.
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of career planning and graduate outcome achievement.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in student support, employability services, or inclusion-focused roles.
A strong understanding of EDI principles, especially in an educational or developmental context.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A commitment to supporting diverse learners and helping them realise their full potential.
