Position: Anatomy Teaching Fellow
Location: Brighton, UK
Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months)
Hours: Full-time (up to 1.0 FTE / 37.5 hours per week). Flexible working requests will be considered, subject to business needs.
Salary: Grade 7 – Starting at £38,249 to £45,413 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Start Date: July/August 2025

The Opportunity
Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) invites applications for a Teaching Fellow in Anatomy to join its award-winning anatomy team. Each year, the team delivers high-quality anatomical education to over 3,000 students across a wide range of programmes including medicine, allied health, and higher surgical training.
As part of the team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of lectures, lead or assist practical dissection sessions, and participate in ultrasound teaching and assessments. You will also help develop teaching materials and anatomical prosections to support undergraduate and postgraduate learning.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
A postgraduate qualification in human anatomical science (or equivalent experience)
Hands-on experience with full-body human dissection
A proven track record in undergraduate anatomy teaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to student engagement and delivering varied, inclusive teaching
Experience working under Human Tissue Authority (HTA) regulations or equivalent
Strong organisational and time management skills
You should be innovative, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
