Our new 10-year strategy is centred around widening participation, delivering transformational education, and using research to help build a fairer, more prosperous society.

We are now seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Lecturer in Law to join our dynamic and growing team at York Business School.

About the School

Law at York St John is an integral part of York Business School. Since launching our law programmes in 2018, we’ve rapidly expanded our offering and impact. In 2020, we launched the York St John Law Clinic, giving students the opportunity to provide supervised legal advice to real clients, enhancing both their legal knowledge and practical skills.

Our programmes – including LLB, MLaw, MLaw Legal Practice, and LLM in Commercial Law and Practice – are designed to reflect the evolving legal education landscape. We emphasise employability, practical skills, and a contextualised approach to legal study, encouraging students to think critically and analytically while preparing them for a variety of legal careers.

We pride ourselves on knowing our students as individuals and offering high levels of personal and academic support in a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
