We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate midwife to join our award-winning maternity bereavement service. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an essential area of care, providing support to families during difficult times.
This is an exciting time to join Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as we are undergoing significant investment in our maternity services, including a new leadership structure. We care for over 5,000 families annually in our large maternity unit and across the community, delivering exceptional care in partnership with women, families, and external stakeholders.
Main Duties of the Job:
In collaboration with the Bereavement Lead Midwife, you will provide compassionate, individualized care to bereaved families who have experienced late miscarriage, medical termination of pregnancy, stillbirth, or neonatal death. You will assist in coordinating and delivering all aspects of the Bereavement Service for these families.
Additionally, you will support the team in facilitating the Rainbow Support Service, providing care for women who are pregnant following the loss of a baby.
