TU London is located at Here East in Stratford, a vibrant, modern space in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The campus is surrounded by local food outlets, coffee shops, a gym, a spa, barbers, and even a retro video-game bar.

Role: Portfolio Professional Tutor (Computing)

Salary:

  • £61.40 per hour for teaching, preparation, and marking.
  • £26.38 per hour for training/non-teaching activities.
  • £2,500 per module for development work.

Contract Type: Flexible, hourly-paid

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative academic professionals with expertise in Computing who can inspire our students. At TU London, you will have the opportunity to shape curriculum design, assessment, and deliver an exceptional student learning experience.

This role offers flexibility to suit your other commitments. Typically, teaching one module requires two days per week for a six-week block, making it ideal for professionals seeking to complement their work in the industry.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, effective, and innovative teaching.
  • Provide pastoral support and project supervision.
  • Contribute to curriculum design and business engagement.
  • Take on module leadership, create necessary documentation, and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices.

You’ll bring your subject expertise and creativity to enhance the learning experience, applying varied teaching and assessment approaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will need extensive professional experience in a related field, along with a degree or PhD in a relevant discipline.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient IT skills for producing engaging materials.
  • Ability to use initiative, creativity, and judgement in teaching, learning, research, and scholarly activities.
  • Capability to support student retention through pastoral care and support.
