- Salary: Grade 8, £47,389 – £56,535 per annum (pro-rata if part-time).

About the Role
The Department of Strategy and Marketing at the University of Sussex Business School is seeking to appoint a full-time Education & Scholarship Assistant Professor (E&S) in Strategy and Marketing, with a focus on global strategy and marketing.
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, curriculum development, student support, and departmental administration, with responsibilities including:
Teaching: Delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops in areas such as marketing strategy, international marketing, marketing analytics, consumer research and behaviour, business strategy, and the global business environment. Duties also include designing learning materials, assessments, and providing supervision for dissertations and projects.
Administration: Supporting the smooth delivery of programmes, managing course-related responsibilities, and contributing to departmental committees.
Student Support: Providing academic guidance and mentoring, offering feedback, and supporting students’ professional development.
You will be part of a vibrant and diverse department, recognised for its expertise in marketing, strategy, international business, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The Department has an excellent track record in teaching and student outcomes, ranked:

About You
We are looking for a committed educator who will inspire and engage students at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
Essential requirements:
- A PhD in Strategy, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated excellence in higher education teaching, with evidence of student engagement and strong learning outcomes.
- Experience in designing and delivering teaching materials across lectures, seminars, and workshops.
- Interest in innovative teaching methods and pedagogy, with the ability to adapt for diverse audiences and digital learning environments.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to the department’s values, including sustainability, ethics, and addressing global business challenges.
