Senior Lecturer in Education
Department of Education and Inclusion, Institute of Education, University of Worcester
The Department of Education and Inclusion is seeking to appoint an outstanding and motivated Senior Lecturer in Education to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate Education programmes, with a particular emphasis on our postgraduate provision. You will be confident in leading modules and areas of work, and will play a key role in developing and delivering our Master of Research (MRes) programme, as well as supervising students on other postgraduate courses.

- MA Education, which has seen a strong growth in international student enrolment
Additionally, we have recently launched a new MRes programme, which this role will significantly support. Many of our colleagues hold doctoral qualifications or are working towards them, enabling the department to contribute actively to MPhil and PhD supervision. As such, applicants are expected to bring subject expertise relevant to our diverse portfolio of courses and demonstrate active engagement in research to underpin teaching, especially on the MA Education.
What We Offer
- Annual incremental salary increases up to £54,395, with potential progression to £59,422 (subject to performance and the University Reward Scheme)
- From 1 July 2025, the salary range will rise to £44,128 – £55,755, with the opportunity to progress to £60,907
- 47 days of leave per year (including bank holidays and University closure days)
