Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Teaching) in Diagnostic Radiography
School of Health & Wellbeing | University of Worcester

We are looking for two enthusiastic, forward-thinking HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographers to join our expanding academic team at the University of Worcester. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme, helping shape the future of the profession.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, you will be appointed as either a Lecturer (Teaching) or Senior Lecturer (Teaching).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging and innovative teaching materials, including blended and technology-enhanced learning.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
  • Act as a Personal Academic Tutor and support students’ academic and personal development.
  • Take part in student recruitment and admissions activities.
  • Undertake academic administration and contribute to School and University committees.
  • Maintain your professional development through CPD, scholarly activity, and research.
  • Promote inter-professional collaboration and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Ensure high standards of safety, sustainability, and accessibility in all learning environments.

About You

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about Diagnostic Radiography education and committed to preparing students for contemporary clinical practice, including the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence.

You will need:

  • Current HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience of teaching and course delivery in higher education.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A student-centred, collaborative approach to academic work.

To be considered for the Senior Lecturer position, you should also have:

  • A relevant postgraduate qualification (Master’s level or higher).
  • A strong track record in curriculum development, leadership, or academic programme management.

What We Offer

Annual salary progression for Lecturer up to £45,585 and for Senior Lecturer up to £59,422, subject to performance and the University reward scheme.

From 1st July 2025, Lecturer salary range will increase to £38,249 – £42,882 (progressing to £46,735), and Senior Lecturer to £44,128 – £55,755 (progressing to £60,907).
