What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of our pharmacy team, your role will be varied, challenging, and rewarding. Main duties include:

  • Accuracy checking of dispensed medications
  • Supervising automated dispensary operations and supporting a team of technicians and assistants
  • Ward-based medicines optimisation to enhance patient care
  • Aseptic supervision and contributing to safe, high-quality service delivery
  • Conducting audits and quality improvement projects
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of Pharmacy Technicians, PTPTs, and assistants
  • Participating in training and educational activities within the department
  • Contributing to a Trust-wide pharmacy service that not only meets, but exceeds, patient and service user expectations
