The Department of Communication and Media at the University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Media and Politics to cover a 12-month teaching position. This fixed-term role has become available due to a colleague being awarded an international research fellowship.
We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching explore the intersections of media, politics, and society. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching on modules such as:
- Global news media and war
- Research methods
- Digital media, particularly from an audience perspective
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will be encouraged to participate in the vibrant research culture of the department.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong academic background in media and politics or related fields
- Teaching experience in higher education, especially in areas mentioned above
- A commitment to research and an interest in contributing to departmental research activities
- The ability to engage and inspire a diverse student body
