Job Description

ACS International Schools are looking for a Middle Years Programme (MYP) English Teacher to join our Egham campus starting in August 2025.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher with a passion for inspiring students through a concept-based, inquiry-driven, and student-focused approach. The ideal candidate will be innovative, a problem solver, and proactive in developing projects that engage and challenge students.

At ACS Egham, we offer the International Baccalaureate (IB), a global, modern curriculum that motivates students to take charge of their own success. With over 50 years of experience delivering the IB, we have developed a deep understanding of how to teach it effectively to ensure students excel. Many of our teachers are also IB examiners, giving them unique insight into how to help students achieve their best.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in the relevant subject, or a Bachelor of Education
  • A valid teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/PGDE/QTS/valid Teaching Licence)
  • A minimum of two years of post-qualification teaching experience
  • Experience teaching English at the Middle School level
  • Familiarity with/willingness to integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • A positive and tolerant outlook with a strong enthusiasm for teaching and understanding of adolescent behavior
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English
  • Experience teaching in an international school is desirable
  • A commitment to excellence in education and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • An understanding of and commitment to the Mission, Aims, and Values of ACS International Schools
  • A positive personality with the ability to offer the right balance of support and challenge to help students thrive
