Safeguarding Information

This role is subject to the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. The Trust must ensure that no candidate disqualified under these regulations is employed in any position related to childcare. Shortlisted candidates will need to complete a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process to confirm they are not disqualified. If the preferred candidate is disqualified, their offer will be contingent on applying to Ofsted for a waiver and receiving approval.

Additional Information

Work Permits: The Trust may be able to obtain a work permit for this position, subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System. However, clearance is not guaranteed for all candidates meeting the criteria.

Job Description

Responsible To:
You will be accountable to the Headteacher for your teaching duties, responsibilities, and teaching-related tasks. You will also oversee the work of Learning Support Assistants in your classroom, as well as other adults including students, families, and visitors.

General Duties:
This job description supports the education and welfare of a designated class in line with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Documents and the Teacher Standards 2012. It also adheres to the requirements of the National Curriculum and the school’s policies and aims, as set by the Board of Trustees and Local Authority.
