Business Manager (Secondment Opportunity) – Division of CSS
The Division of Clinical Support Services (CSS) is seeking a forward-thinking and enthusiastic Business Manager to work closely with the General Manager (GM) in driving service improvement across the division.
This is an exciting secondment opportunity, offering a chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, alongside a team of experienced Business Managers.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the GM in the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centred services. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of service strategies and ensuring robust risk management processes are in place.
You will provide operational support and advice to staff, helping to manage service pressures and improve throughput. Additionally, you’ll assist in achieving key performance targets in line with both local and national objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a highly visible leader, championing safe, effective, and efficient use of resources.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Clinical Leads and Matrons.
- Hold line management responsibility for a range of administrative staff.
- Oversee the operational delivery of delegated areas within the division.
- Support the GM and senior clinical staff in shaping the strategic direction of services.
- Be accountable for service delivery and manage associated operational challenges.
- Deputise for the GM as required.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives and implement service development plans.
- Manage divisional resources to enhance quality and productivity.
- Inspire and motivate staff, ensuring structures and policies support high performance.
- Ensure compliance with national standards and targets, including Clinical Quality Indicators.
- Foster a culture of partnership and system-wide collaboration within the division.
- Promote and implement HR initiatives such as Agenda for Change and trust-wide policies.
