Job Description

 

The successful candidate will join the multi-disciplinary team within the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department, contributing to the efficient operation of MRI scanning. Occasionally, you will be required to assist with Computed Tomography (CT) scanning and support other departments within clinical imaging as needed. This role involves performing specialized tasks tailored to the area of focus, while also providing support to the broader clinical imaging team to ensure high standards of patient care are maintained.

The role is based at RCH, with the expectation of rotating to Bodmin CDC as required. Therefore, a valid driving licence and access to transport are necessary.

The post holder should have or be working towards an NVQ Level 3 in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of the clinical imaging team to ensure high-quality patient care is provided.

Adhere to local and Trust policies to maintain health and safety standards in the workplace.

Perform clinical procedures autonomously, supporting pre, peri, and post-procedural care.

Assist in managing clinical workflows within the service.

Undertake general administrative and clerical duties as required.

Support the development of new members of the Clinical Imaging Assistant (CIA) team.

Contribute to sustainability efforts, aligning with the Trust’s commitment to achieving NHS Net Zero goals, and implement innovative practices within your area of expertise.
