JOB SUMMARY
The Opportunity:
Childlight, a global child safety organisation, is recruiting for a Finance Manager to guarantee that we satisfy our regulatory and contractual duties when managing budgets and reporting to funders.
You will be in charge of our financial operations, which include the creation of monthly forecasts and reviews, as well as financial reporting to a range of stakeholders, including the Childlight Senior Leadership Team and Steering Board. The post’s responsibilities include maintaining effective and resilient financial procedures and controls, as well as leading financial planning operations such as annual budgeting and scenario modelling.
This position is fixed-term until April 30, 2026, and full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are willing to accept part-time or flexible working arrangements. We are also willing to consider requests for hybrid working (non-contractual) that mixes remote (within the UK) and regular on-campus employment.
Your abilities and traits for success:
- Strong accounting understanding with a full or partial UK accounting certificate.
- Experience managing an annual operating budget of £4 million or more.
- Experience in preparing financial reports, implementing financial controls, and audit procedures
- Experience acquiring, evaluating, and presenting complicated data to a senior audience and non-financial staff
- A desire to make the world a better place by preventing CSEA, enhancing services, and protecting children.
