JOB SUMMARY

 

Pharmacy Technician Band 4

FULL TIME / PART TIME

We are searching for eager and motivated GPHC registered technicians to join our vibrant and colourful department as part of a rotating team that works across three sites.

Successful applicants will be proactive with good problem-solving abilities, provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, and dedicated to patient and customer care.

Rotational technicians will complete a 12-month development program in all parts of the pharmacy department, including inpatient and outpatient dispensaries, distribution, and, if needed, aseptic services.

They also have the chance to pursue an accredited checking qualification and maybe engage in the medications management service under the supervision of the lead technicians.

Applicants should have a BTEC level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science and an NVQ3 in pharmacy services, or an equivalent pharmacy qualification, be registered with the GPhC, and be willing to participate in a competency-based training package to advance through this band.

The chosen applicant will join a band 4 rotation that includes one later night, weekends, and participation in the bank holiday Rota. Most full-time employees work their hours throughout four days.

Successful candidates will be eligible to take up the position once their registration with the GPHC is confirmed.
