About the Role
We are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Computing to support teaching across our BSc (Top-Up) and broader computing portfolio. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences to students from diverse backgrounds, with the opportunity to develop your own teaching and research portfolio within a supportive academic environment.
We welcome applications from those with academic or industry experience in any of the following areas:
- Mobile Application Development
- Cyber Security
- Blockchain Technologies
- Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning
- Database Systems & Programming
You will contribute to both in-person and blended/online delivery, engage in curriculum development, and support students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
As part of your academic development, you’ll be supported to build external recognition through research or professional practice, and by contributing to the evolution of the subject area through ongoing curriculum review and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who:
- Hold a strong academic or professional background in Computing, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Have experience teaching in higher education or relevant professional practice
- Can deliver engaging and inclusive learning using a range of pedagogical and digital approaches
- Are passionate about supporting diverse learners and contributing to an inclusive academic culture
- Demonstrate current knowledge and practice in their specialist subject area
- Show evidence of research activity, practice-based output, or public engagement
