What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
- A recognised qualification in Social Work (Degree, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
- A minimum of one year’s experience working in a statutory setting
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, policies, and current legislation
- The ability to assess needs, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively across multi-agency teams
- A restorative and inclusive approach that values children and families’ voices
- Willingness to work toward Practice Educator Level 1
What You’ll Do
As part of our supportive and tight-knit children’s services team, you will:
- Manage a caseload appropriate to your level of experience
- Deliver child-focused support through restorative practices and family decision-making, including Family Group Conferencing
- Maintain strong links with local partners including health services and voluntary organisations
- Engage in reflective supervision and continuous professional development
- Mentor newly qualified social workers and students as you work toward becoming a Practice Educator
