Job Description
About the Role
At Tesco, people are at the heart of everything we do, and this is especially true for our pharmacy team.
As a Pharmacy Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. Whether you’re supporting pharmacists, delivering excellent services to customers, or fostering a sense of community, your work will touch the lives of hundreds of people every day.
We want to help you be your best, no matter what life brings. That’s why we offer uninterrupted “me time” away from the pharmacy to relax, recharge, and refuel. In addition to these well-deserved breaks, we also provide abundant career growth opportunities with leadership training from industry experts, giving you plenty of chances to advance. And if you have ideas for improvements, we’ll make sure you have the chance to voice them.
It all adds up to a role where you can do good, feel good, and develop your career. Let’s make every day a little better.

- Dispense prescriptions, deliver NHS and private services, and provide healthcare advice to customers.
- Play an active role in supporting charitable programs, offering advice to those at risk of or living with cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
- Lead, train, and develop your pharmacy team.
- Use a planning system to ensure pharmacy staff availability, ensuring we meet our customers’ needs.
What You’ll Need
- A Pharmacy Degree.
- Passion for leading and empowering a team.
- Membership with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and willingness to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme (we’ll assist you with this upon job offer).
- Willingness to complete a DBS check (organised by Tesco) prior to starting employment.
What’s in it for You?
Our pharmacies are exclusively led and supported by pharmacists, and we’re always exploring new ways to offer the best service for our communities.
We provide a secure and flexible working environment with excellent benefits that make Tesco a great place to work. These include, but are not limited to:
- GPhC fee covered by us every year.
- 25 days of holiday plus a personal day (and Bank Holidays).
- Option to buy additional holiday via a salary sacrifice scheme.

- 26 weeks of maternity and adoption leave (at full pay after one year of service), plus 13 weeks Statutory Pay, and 4 weeks fully paid paternity leave.
- The right to request flexible working from your first day.
- A pharmacy training programme exclusive to Tesco, in partnership with Diabetes UK, Cancer Research UK, and the British Heart Foundation.
- A structured leadership training plan crafted by industry experts.
- Great colleague discounts to save you money on everyday purchases.
- Expert support for those applying for the UK health and social care visa.
