There is a chance to join a multi-skilled security team that provides Boeing Defence UK with all areas of protective security, including information security and assurance, personnel security, business continuity, counter-threat assistance, and risk advising.

BDUK is recruiting a Personnel Security Assistant to join the Personnel Security Team. The role will need you to manage internal and external clearances, process visit requests, and communicate with business divisions and third-party providers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate security clearances.
  • Processing guest requests and clearance confirmations.
  • Engagement with stakeholders to ensure that the new starter and departure procedures are optimised.
  • Contribute to the improvement of personnel security processes.

The employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Work Authorisation:

This job posting is for a position that will be filled locally in the United Kingdom. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not seek to secure immigration or labour sponsorship for any applicants.

Benefits and salary are established locally and are not part of Boeing’s U.S. payroll.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Knowledge and comprehension of MOD and Government security requirements and standards.
  • The selected applicant must hold an active Security Cleared level (SC) UK Security Clearance or be eligible for one.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience handling security clearances would be a significant advantage.
  • Experience working in a transnational matrix management environment / structure and a large-scale, complicated international organisation, as well as small teams, would be extremely beneficial.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage one’s own task with little day-to-day supervision, but also know when to seek help/escalate.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to adapt to different audiences are required, as is the ability to explain technical concerns in simple terms to non-technical consumers.
  • Clear task focus with the capacity to distinguish and articulate vital parts from unnecessary information.

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience is often obtained by advanced education (e.g., bachelor’s degree) and three or more years of related job experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience (e.g., master’s degree plus one year of related work experience, seven years of related work experience, etc.).

Requirements for this post include obtaining a UK security clearance (SC) and having UK residency. All information will be reviewed and confirmed.
