Are you passionate about delivering outstanding housing services and leading high-performing teams? Leeds City Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Housing Manager to oversee the management of council housing stock across multiple geographical areas.
In this key leadership role, you’ll represent the Housing Landlord service locally, drive performance, and lead your teams to deliver excellent outcomes for residents. This is a varied and rewarding role—no two days are ever the same.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Housing Manager, you will:
- Provide operational leadership to housing teams across multiple localities
- Ensure excellent customer service, focusing on community wellbeing and income generation
- Represent the service in your assigned areas, liaising with local stakeholders, residents, and ward members
- Drive team performance, ensuring delivery against key indicators and council values
- Lead with resilience and empathy, supporting both staff and residents
This role plays a crucial part in our wider Housing Landlord service and is essential to improving quality of life in our communities.
About You
We’re looking for a confident, solutions-focused leader with a strong understanding of the housing sector. You’ll bring:
- A relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent management experience in a housing environment
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- The ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges
- A solid understanding of current social housing policies and sector issues
- A track record of developing productive relationships with residents, communities, and elected members
