About the Role

As Deputy Ward Leader, you’ll work hand in hand with the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to lead a dynamic and committed team. This is a hands-on role where your clinical skills, decision-making, and supportive leadership will directly impact patient care and team morale.

In this position, you will:

  • Regularly take charge of the ward, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and a positive environment for both staff and patients.
  • Lead by example in delivering compassionate, evidence-based clinical care.
  • Support and monitor clinical governance processes and promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to develop and maintain personalised care plans.

Ward 42 provides care for up to 24 patients, with a mix of bays and private en-suite rooms. You will be part of a supportive, well-integrated medical team and play a key role in helping to deliver patient-centred care that makes a real difference.
