Help us shape the future of commercial aircraft modification with our Boeing Global Services (BGS) EASA Modifications IPT (Integrated Project Team). We are searching for a Project Engineer to lead modification programmes that promote safety, quality, and technical excellence by leveraging innovation and best practices to provide solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.

The chosen candidate will be a key member of our modification teams, which create, certify, and integrate commercial aircraft modification solutions such as cabin interior improvements, IFE upgrades, and other adjustments. The candidate will work directly with customers and collaborate with BGS’s worldwide engineering and programme management teams across several time zones.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical teams through the design and certification of aircraft modifications.
  • Be the key technical focal point in assigned modification projects.
  • Provide technical support to the Project Manager/s assigned to the modification project(s).
  • Collaborate with customers, outside vendors, MROs, regulatory agencies, and other internal teams to develop engineering solutions that exceed customer requirements on time and under budget.
  • Provide unbiased assistance to help design safe, compliant, and practical solutions for all modification projects.
  • Identify the primary technical hazards and mitigation solutions.
  • Facilitate project ITCM, PDR, and CDR meetings.
  • Chair technical review meetings.
  • Provide status reports on project health.
  • Help functional engineering managers with resource planning and assignment.
  • Occasional internal or foreign travel may be required.

 

Required Knowledge/Experience

  • Minimum 5-years of aviation/aerospace (or related) industry experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial aeroplane interiors is necessary.
  • Capable of demonstrating a working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements, including (E)TSO, CS-25, CS-25, CFR Part 25, and Part 21J design organisations.
  • Capability to work on various programmes with varying levels of needs efficiently and effectively.

 

Education requirements

  • A recognised aviation or engineering degree.
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken

This requirement is for a locally employed role in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
