Job Description

Priory Hospital Southampton is rated “Good” overall, with an outstanding rating for caring. The hospital is set within 1.5 acres of beautiful grounds, offering a peaceful environment just four miles from the M27 and two miles from Totton train station. Free on-site parking is available. Skylark Ward is a 13-bed unit providing care for patients with Eating Disorders, where you will work alongside a dedicated and experienced multidisciplinary team (MDT).

The hospital places a strong emphasis on patient recovery and care throughout their stay. Led by a stable and effective management team, it offers a comprehensive preceptorship programme. The hospital’s environment, referral screening process, and strong links with local provider collaborations result in low levels of incidents requiring restraint, despite being classified as an “acute” facility.

Job Profile:

  • Deliver high-quality, service-user focused care
  • Participate in the development of new services and care pathways
  • Support the local implementation of the Group Nursing Strategy
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement within your service

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities:

  • Registered nurse with an active NMC PIN and at least 12 months post-qualification experience
  • Relevant clinical experience
  • A positive attitude with a commitment to change, improvement, and quality
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
