Salary & Benefits

Hourly Rate: £22.52 per hour

Working Hours

Summer: 10 hours per day

Winter: 9 hours per day

Key Responsibilities

Comply with all UK health and safety regulations and company safety protocols.

Execute rigging operations and ensure all lifting activities adhere to safety standards.

Perform blocking (dressing) and clipping-in (suspension) work on tension and suspension towers.

Conduct spacering operations, including the safe use of a spacer trolley.

Apply earthing schemes (add-leads) to overhead line (OHL) conductors.

Safely operate platforms, ladders, and pladders.

Carry out jointing activities, such as installing socks, stockings, and permanent joints.

Perform jumpering operations and in-situ steel replacement on towers.

Interpret and work from schematic diagrams and technical drawings.

Maintain effective teamwork and communication with colleagues.

Uphold a proactive, reliable, and safety-first work ethic.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

Minimum of three years’ experience working on high-voltage transmission line projects, including:

Working at height.

Maintenance of high-voltage transmission lines.

High-voltage OHL tension and stringing operations.

Tower assembly and erection using cranes or derricks (e.g., Falcon).

Desirable:

Relevant formal qualifications in electrical or transmission line engineering.

Experience using pullers, tensioners, erection tools, or tractor winches.

A valid UK driving licence (conversion support available if required).

Applicants must meet Home Office requirements, including:

Passing UKVI IELTS or providing approved proof of English proficiency.

Obtaining a clear Tuberculosis (TB) test (if applicable).
