Job Summary

We are recruiting Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to join our NHS Talking Therapies services in Hounslow and Ealing. This is a paid training role where you will complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Common Mental Health Problems at University College London (UCL).

You will be employed full-time on a Band 4 NHS salary.

Training fees are fully funded.

You will attend university two days a week and work in our services for three days.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based, low-intensity CBT interventions such as guided self-help for people with anxiety and depression.

Support a wide range of adults, including those with diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

Carry out assessments and develop treatment plans under supervision.

Keep accurate clinical records and contribute to service data collection.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across the NHS Talking Therapies service.

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential):

Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths.

Evidence of study at Level 5 (e.g., foundation degree, undergraduate year 1, or equivalent).

Ability to study at postgraduate level.

Experience (Essential):

Work or volunteer experience with people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Confident using IT systems.

Skills (Essential):

Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and telephone.

Good organizational and time management skills.

Ability to assess information and make appropriate clinical decisions.
